Yahoo! Inc. has signed a lease to occupy a turn-key datacenter owned and managed by Digital Realty Trust Inc. in San Francisco, Calif. Yahoo! will utilize the facility, designed to adhere to LEED Gold certification standards, as an advanced corporate data center. Yahoo's consistent efforts to incorporate green elements into its corporate environments led the company to collaborate once again with Digital Realty Trust, which was the first real estate firm in the datacenter industry to secure LEED Gold certification for one of its properties.
