San Diego's largest builder and and construction manager has announced its purchase by an Atlanta firm. Barnhart Construction, which built Lindbergh Field's Terminal 2 expansion and was involved with building the Petco Park ballfield, was purchased for an undisclosed amount by architecture, interior design, and engineering firm Heery International.

Owner Doug Barnhart told the San Diego Business Journal that company operations will proceed uninterrupted. "This merger is the result of many months of collaboration and exploration to determine positive impacts on our employees, clients, and associates," he said.
