Less than two years after completing the $48.5 million acquisition of the former Sheraton Colony Square in a joint venture with AEW Capital Management, Noble Investment Group has wrapped up the $50 million redevelopment of the 28-story hotel into the new W Atlanta-Midtown. Located at Peachtree Rd. and 14th St. just across from Piedmont Park, the 466-room Art Deco-style hotel was designed by Stephen Alton Architects, Fruchtman Associates and Ali Group, and features 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space. W Atlanta-Midtown is the second property in Atlanta to carry the flag of Starwood's Hotels & Resorts' trendy new boutique hotel division, W Hotels Worldwide. W Atlanta-Buckhead will debut later this year and W Atlanta-Downtown will follow in 2009.
