Atlantic City Casinos See Uptick in Revenue
June 11, 2008
Source: Philadelphia Inquirer

Figures from the New Jersey Casino Control Commission indicate good news for the 11 casinos in Atlantic City -- during the month of May, the gambling halls took in $415.3 million, a jump of 1.6 percent from a year earlier.

This represented only the second time in 2008 that the casinos saw a monthly increase. That jump is being attributed to the continued popularity of table games, as well as customers such as businessman Anthony DePula. "I've been going to Atlantic City for 28 years, and I'm not about to stop," DePula told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
